Elegant affair at the Yorktowne Hotel

I had the pleasure of delivering this cake to the Yorktowne Hotel Saturday. The cake is ivory fondant with silver accents.

Lots of Vines

This weekend's theme seemed to be vines! Both cakes had some variation of that. I love this look. Also love these color schemes. The gorgeous fresh flowers on the green cake were provided by Kelly Steadman of All Things Beautiful. Also, Jonnaysa Kirkham was the wedding planner for both weddings.

Stencils on a cake, love them!

This cake was for yesterday's wedding at Riverdale. The stencils are made just for wedding cakes. It is one way to incorporate an intricate pattern on your cake without having to hand pipe all the details. This stencil is called Camilla Rose. The bride choose to use the fuschia pink detailing and I loved it!! It was a cute little cake for 50 guests. Stacia from Petals and Beans provided the gorgeous peonies for the top.

Spring cakes

I designed these two cakes for the bridal show last Sunday at the Central Market Mall. Something colorful, and springy. The huge flower cake is different and fun. Don't know if a bride would want that for her cake, but it was in my head wanting to come out!!

An inspiring bridal event on Sunday, April 26

This Sunday, April 26, come to The Shoppes of Downtown Presents Weddings. This event is being held in lieu of the Best of Weddings Bridal Event that was rescheduled for Nov. 22 2009. I will be present with cake samples. The event is at 50 N. Queen Street in Lancaster at Studio Jenz... (the old Place Marie shopping area), from 12-4. A small but selective group of vendors. It's also free! Come get inspired!

Weddings

It was a Riverdale Manor wedding cake weekend! I was there Friday and Saturday and here are this past weekend's cakes. Both are simple and elegant, the theme of the past few years... less is more! Riverdale always looks beautiful.. their neutral palette of the barn goes with every color scheme!

My slower time is over.. May will take off and June is super busy!

These twisted/spiraled squares, although not my personal favorite, are popular with the brides.






I love a tall all square cake! The stripes on this cake were similar to a fabric the bride used.
